This year saw a whole host of creative and fun-packed activities organised and participated in by Haven’s team, guests and owners.From the far reaches of the Scottish highlands to the suits of Haven’s Hemel Hempstead head office, everyone took a little time to raise money for this great and worthwhile cause.We are pleased to announce that through a variety of events, from triathlons, to fetes, to pop up bakeries, the team raised £105,436.92 – a great total which can only be built on next year! On the Children in Need appeal night, hundreds of team members, friends and family gathered at the Haven call centre for a night of games, fun and collecting money on the telephones for the charity. On this evening, we raised a further £82,592! The largest amount taken was a whooping £2000!On our parks, the top fundraisers were Caister. They raised £10,000 from a mixture of smaller events, such as quiz nights and 5 a side football between the team and the owners, and bigger events, such as a fete with acts, dancers, an outdoor bar and a lot of visitors on the busy August Bank Holiday weekend!We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has been involved in our Children in Need fundraising this year. Hi everyone, we have seen all of your feedback that some of you have been affected by the system problem we had in the early hours of Sunday morning. Bookings made during this time were priced incorrectly. We have now sorted the problem and we are in the process of letting all our guests know the right price with the option of a full refund to any customers wishing to cancel their booking… but we hope you don’t. We’re so sorry that this has happened and apologise for any inconvenience.
It’s been a bit of a bad couple of days as we also had a problem with our web server yesterday too. Today, just to warn you, at 4pm the website is being taken offline for some scheduled maintenance and the team are taking this time for training so the call centre will also be closed. This is totally unrelated to the problems on Sunday morning.
We’re all looking forward to getting back to normal on Wednesday!
