About Naomi

I’ve worked for Bourne Leisure and Haven Holidays for over 20 years now and have seen lots of exciting changes and developments. I now head up the publicity team so I’m really lucky that I get to go to our parks regularly to see all the new developments. When my family were growing up we took them to a Haven park every year as they just loved the seaside and the kids clubs. Haven is very much part of my family, I met my husband here, my daughter Madi was on the front cover of the brochure one year and when she graduated she was lucky enough to get a job here at Haven too! Our blog is all about keeping you up-to-date with what’s going on, on the parks, by the sea and with our brand. I live in Hemel Hempstead with my husband, and 2 (rather grown up) children.

Cycling at South Downs!

Our Combe Haven park is set across from a hillside not far from the historic city of Hastings and just half an hour from Haven’s holiday park Combe Haven you will discover some of the most gorgeous countryside in the UK that can be explored by bike or on foot — and I was lucky enough to do just that!

Explore the south east of Scotland on foot this Easter

by

Here at Haven we love Easter. Not just because it marks the start of our holiday season. But because it’s the perfect time to start spending more time outdoors. I’m a keen walker and cyclist so I’m always looking to go out and about. And I’d always recommend asking our friendly staff for tips about the best walking routes near your park – they’ll always be happy to share their local knowledge. Easter Sunday is on 20th April this year so if you’re having a weekend away, we’ll get things going by telling you about all the great walks in the south east of Scotland – but don’t forget, you’ll find other great outdoor activities in plenty of other regions too!

Take Your Camping to the Next Level in a Yurt

I’ve always loved to camp. When the kids were younger, we would pack up all the gear and take them out to one of our favourite campsites. They would run around in the sunshine, on the beach or outside of the tent, before falling asleep in the natural, outdoor air. Those were the days.

Mumsnet and Haven – A perfect pair!

by

Haven are more than proud to welcoming Mumsnet into the Haven family. Mumsnet is UK’s biggest network for parents to swap advice, speak to other parents and discuss all the things parents want to. Haven is the UK’s favourite Seaside Holiday so it truly is a match made in Heaven. Recently here at Haven we launched our ‘We all Love’ campaign, showing all the things Haven have to offer, this is something Mumsnet were more than happy to be a part of. They explain why below:

My Edinburgh Break

by

I’ve always wanted to visit the capital of Scotland, famous for is vibrancy, history and culture, so lucky for me, my very good friend lives in there! However, she was shortly moving back to England so we took advantage to go and see her before she left. She was so very proud to show us her beloved Edinburgh city which is only a 30 minute drive from our Haven park Seton Sands. We flew up from Luton airport for just £100 each and my friend had already hired a car.

5 Time & Money Saving Reasons to Book Your Family Holiday in Advance

5 Time & Money Saving Reasons to Book Your Family Holiday in Advance

by

Putting things off is one of my biggest weaknesses, I can create the best to-do lists in the world but I rarely get through them on time! So, things like the looming car insurance renewal, the overdue visit to the dentist, the ever-nearing Christmas presents (yes, I just said Christmas) – they all get put off because, well, life happens. But not  holidays. Holidays are always at the top of my to-do list and even though I have two very grown-up children everyone still relies on me because I work at Haven. Understandable. If you’re the type of person who juggles all kinds too and finds it hard to get things sorted in advance, then take it from me and at least embrace the ‘early bird’ strategy when it comes to booking your hols.
