We all know that Mum knows best but why not show your Mum that you also have some wise knowledge and treat her to some family time this March and get off to one of our 35 holiday parks? We have something for every sort of Mum out there!
The Lake District is probably the best place in England to explore the great outdoors, breath in the fresh air, blow away the cobwebs and be inspired by the magnificence of the natural environment. There are a number of key elements which contribute to the regions appeal. There’s the lakes and rivers, mountains and fells, ancient woodlands, archaeology and heritage, cultural traditions and attractive towns and villages. This provides boundless opportunity for outdoor activities, or just plain old chill out time.
Last year a study was led by an academic from the University of Sussex which concluded that being outside and by the sea is the place that most people are at their happiest. It’s no suprise really as we know that everyone loves a seaside holiday! Holiday budgeting isn’t easy but we understand how important it is when it comes to planning to take your family away, which is why this year we’ve introduced our easy monthly payment plan.
Here at Haven we’re so excited about our special breaks with the British Basketball League this year. Basketball is a fun and friendly sport and these special sessions on Haven holiday parks are suitable for kids of all heights and abilities (it’s a myth that you have to be tall to be a basketball player!). I’ve been lucky enough to do some filming with Rory and two players from the Leicester Riders in December, and then headed up to Birmingham for the Cup Final earlier on in January but let’s rewind a minute and go back to the start…
Congratulations to Hafan y Mor who have been awarded the AA Holiday Centre of the Year 2014! This great award means that the park are really good at maintaining the touring pitches, on site facilities and public areas. It means the team are helpful and that the recent improvements to the park — such as the greenery and layout of the park and the addition of a new children’s play area — make the park stand out. This is the first time the park have been presented with this award and they received a score of 87% from AA, with notice given to the fact the park now has wi-fi across both the caravan and touring areas.
