As much as we all love a break away, the run up to the trip and getting there can be just a slight bit stressful — especially if your travelling with the whole clan and the kitchen sink! Remember when you were growing up and the holiday park or complex always seemed gigantic? That’s how it feels when you stay at Lakeland in Cumbria (even as a grownup). It’s not because the park is particularly huge (it’s fairly big) – it’s because it has the entire Lake District as a back garden. I fell in love with the Lakes a long time ago. It was really heart warming to read but it made it so hard for us to decide on the winner!
We read out some of our favourites in the office which received lots of ooh’s and ah’s and comments like “you should give them all a holiday” … but that wasn’t possible as there could be only one winner.
