Quay West were rewarded for their woodland walk and Presthaven for their work with the local community to preserve the nearby dune system. And Devon Cliffs…. well we’ll let you read the article from BH&HPA yourselves!
It’s Christmas Competition time at Haven!
It’s that time of year for giving and we know you all like winning!
So get involved with our competition this winter! From the 1st until the 13th of December we’ll be giving a prize away every day!
All you have to do is submit your favourite family Haven Holiday photo by clicking on the image above and at 5pm every day we’ll announce our winner.
We’ve got some fantastic prizes to be won but you won’t know what they are until the calendar door is opened on the App each day!
Please see the App for full t&cs.
If you’ve ever visited Haven, you’ll know that our fantastic Funstar entertainment teams are always right in the middle of all of the fun! When they aren’t singing and dancing on stage or entertaining you guys with their terrible jokes (!), they’re leading the kids’ activities and helping the rest of the park team out with anything from check-in to charity events.
But at Haven, it isn’t all about being entertained. We love to give you a chance to wow everyone too!
In our ‘Haven’s Talented Seaside’ evening shows, our guests are given the opportunity to sing, dance or joke their way into our hearts in this competition! Throughout the summer, on different Haven parks, there will be individual shows, and then the winners from each holiday park are given the opportunity to compete against one another for the overall title!
We’ve been flicking through our archives and found a couple of faces you might just recognise…
Nicky got to the Haven’s Talented Seaside final in 2010 – when he was just 13! The youngster is now performing on The X Factor (and doing quite well, I might add!) and it’s great to see that he has come on so much since we saw him on our stage at Primrose Valley so long ago! We’re #TEAMNICKY all the way!!
Joe Evans, now 13, won Devon Cliff’s Haven’s Talented Seaside in 2012 and has since been the leading man in Scouting for Girls and […]
Who is it? Nick Moran, General Manager at Littlesea.
What did he do? Climbed Mount Kilimanjaro
How much did he raise? £1000
Why did he do it? It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. Also, I booked it when I’d turned 40 so maybe it was a mid-life thing?
How did he train? I started training in November 2012 when I was at Devon Cliffs (just after I joined Bourne Leisure) and continued with some hill walks around the Purbecks and South West Coastal Path once I joined the team at Littlesea.
Which walk did he do? I joined the Lemosho Route it’s a 7-day trek, 5 up and 2 down. My fellow trekkers were from all walks of life, all ages and from all over the world. There were 27 of us (inc a Leader and Medic) and over 100 ‘rafikis’ (meaning ‘friend’ – they were the porters/cooks/guides etc).
What was the best part? On a personal note there were three aspects that kept me going on the way up; I had a photo of my daughter, Isabella (who’s 9) in my pocket and kept getting it out when I was feeling a bit low – just looking at her gave me a boost, I had a secret stash of liquorice allsorts which gave me a sugar boost, and I knew I was raising money for a great charity and that I had so many supporters back home.
What was the hardest part? One was coming […]
