Christmas TV is always the best TV and this year is no exception. There’s loads of amazing programmes on over the festive period and we’ve found three of the most anticipated TV specials for 2015.

Not only is this a Christmas special of the hugely popular series, it’s also the last ever episode of the show. Make sure you tune in on Christmas Day at 8.45pm and have the tissues ready for a tear-jerking finale.

Doctor Who

There’s a big surprise in store for this year’s edition of the most famous doctor in the world’s Xmas special – Professor River Song is returning. Fans of the show will be wondering how that’s possible so be sure to join Peter Capaldi’s doctor at 5.15pm on Christmas Day.

It’s Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sherlock Holmes, but not how you know him in this festive TV special, titled the Abominable Bride. You will time travel back to 1895 as your favourite detective meets new enemies in Victorian London on New Year’s Day.
