It’s that time of year again when the Queen decides who she will be handing out a Knighthood and Damehood to, so over at Haven HQ we’ve been thinking about who we’d love to see become a Sir or Dame in 2016.
Ricky Gervais
Ricky does so much wonderful work for animal charities and is one of the main celebrities speaking out about animal cruelty. Plus, he’s created some of the best British comedy programmes of all-time. He’s got to be on there!
Sue Perkins
Her career in the limelight has spanned 15 years and Great British Bake-Off just wouldn’t be the same without her. She was even linked with the vacant role at Top Gear following Jeremy Clarkson and co’s departures.
Idris Elba
His return in Luther this December was unbelievable, adding to the amazing performances he had already put in. He’s really leading the way in becoming one of the best British actors around and should be recognised for that.
Holly Willoughby
Everybody just loves Holly, don’t they? Not only does she have a lovely, bubbly personality on our televisions in the morning, but she also does a great amount of work for charity of would be worthy of a New Year’s Honour.
