You must be yolking
Some in the Ukraine and Russia believe that whisking egg yolk and a teaspoon of honey or sugar together could help you recover. Then you add it to half a cup of milk that’s been heated with a tablespoon of unsalted butter.
Pop your headphones on, it jazz to work
Research suggests listening to jazz music for 30 minutes a day can boost your Immunoglobin levels and some doctors claim this immune protein plays a critical role in defending against infection. Billie Holliday fans, you’re in luck!
Rock those (wet) socks
Make yourself even colder when you’ve got a cold? That doesn’t seem right! But apparently it works – US professors say wearing cold wet socks to bed when coming down with a cold can mimic the effects of immune-enhancing hydrotherapy treatments.
Water way to get better
If you’ve got a spare coconut around, the answer to all of your cold related problems could be solved. The human body requires electrolytes, which balance out our blood chemistry, to stay hydrated so coconut water has been said to help kill colds.
Feeling a bit chilli
Now this one will probably make your nose run and your eyes water, but as they say…it’s better out than in. And it’s certainly worth a try for the experience, even if it doesn’t work!
