There is a whole array of fascinating wildlife on our coasts and what better way to find out more than by taking to the seas! Here is a selection of wildlife boat trips you can take when staying at your holiday home.

1. Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre

Have you ever wanted to see dolphins? Well here is your chance! There is a whole array of boat tour options available from a 1 hour Bay Explorer tour (which extend up to half a day) to Sunrise and Sunset trips with the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre! With a certificate of excellence from TripAdvisor to their name and 91% of 1.5 – 2 hour tours seeing dolphins and/or porpoises, this is a chance not to be missed!

2. Seabird Cruises

Nearest parks: Seton Sands & Berwick

The Scottish Seabird Centre offer a brilliant range of trips that allow you to see the wild world of seabirds from Easter to October! Leaving from North Berwick the trips are led by experienced guides which means you can take in the stunning UK coast and learn from experts. As a charity, all the income from the tours go towards conservation and education work. This is definitely a reason to take to seas with the family in the coming months!

3. Orca Sea Safaris

Nearest park: Perran Sands

Take in the beautiful sights of the Carraick Road with ‘one of Cornwall’s top boat trips’! There is wide range of wildlife spotting opportunities including ‘pods of dolphins, groups of seals, basking sharks and whales.’ Setting sail from Falmouth the Orca Sea Safaris will leave you eager to learn more and is a truly magical experience for the whole family.

4. Seal Trips at Yarmouth

Nearest parks: Seashore & Wild Duck

Running from early May to the end of September this Great Yarmouth based company has been taking people to view seals for over 30 years. The whole family can take a trip in the adaptaely named ‘Haven Cruiser’ for between £6 – £9. With trips last up to one hour and a fully trained and knowledgeable crew onboard, this would be an ideal treat for anyone coming to stay with you!
