Here at Haven HQ we were lucky enough to have some special visitors from our Far Grange Park. I was able to ask them questions about the park and find out more information about what they offer. The holiday park is different to our other park as it’s owners only and sometimes on special events they invite people from the community to join in the fun, so it really does have that family feel.
Far Grange are famous amongst Haven HQ for their love of a party so it was a perfect opportunity for me to interview a member of the entertainment team to get a real insight into the workings of to plan a successful party as well as how to organise all the smaller events the owners just can’t get enough of!
Where is it?
Far Grange is located in Skipsea, East Yorkshire. Yorkshire has plenty of beauty spots and this is one of them. Far Grange is way out in the countryside and is ideal if you’re looking to buy a static caravan that’s well away from the fast-pace and hubbub of the big towns and cities
What facilities do they have there?
Far Grange Park has a lot facilities for you to enjoy that owners to enjoy including as an owners lounge, bar and cabaret stage to our sauna, plus a steam room, gym and solarium.
Or get outside and test your skills on the 18-hole par 70 golf course. We also haveour all-weather multi-sports court, tennis court and crown green bowling. If the British weather is living up to its reputation you can enjoy our indoor swimming pool, fitness room or snooker room. Alternatively relax in our Sauna, solarium and spa treatment rooms. Sit back, relax and find the activity that takes your fancy.
All though Far Grange will be your home from home, this doesn’t mean you want to be cooking every night. It’s the perfect excuse to take a break from the kitchen and try some of the food and drinks services on offer. Including a traditional fish and chip shop, a Cafe at the Golf course, two Show Bars serving the traditional Pub Grub, two cabaret rooms and SPAR convenience store. On a Sunday why not treat yourself to a Carvery at the East End venue. Now we don’t want to say that the Sunday dinner will be better than your Mum’s but it will come a very close second!
What about entertainment?
Far Grange have an events and entertainment team that is called “Eve-vents” – ‘Eve’ standing for evening entertainment and ‘vents’ meaning the larger events the park hold and the trips out to the local area.
Plus, as the park pride themselves on the community feel of the park, they have many different clubs the whole family can get involved with.
Just to name a few they have:
Little Green Fingers which is a gardening club for children
Gardening Gang is the same but for adults. All abilities are welcome so it’s perfect for people with green fingers or the ones who don’t know the difference between a weed and exotic flower!
Lets do lunch, host picnics, strawberry picking and making jam.
They also have events such as farmer’s markers and ghost walks.
Why not get involved?
Far Grange Park gives the community chances that you just cannot miss out on with their aim is to bring the community together.
Also we know how wonderful it is to get away with the kids but sometimes you want to get away from the kids! Far Grange Park has two entertainment venues, one of these is a family room and the other is for over 18s only. The family room offers specialty acts and either a live singer or live band and the over 18’s venue has a live band every Saturday.
Plus on bank holidays Far Grange Park have star acts for their entertainment.
Far Grange may only have a small entertainment team but they are a big on fun!Read more about Far Grange here.
