Journalist Chris Haslam describes the beach on the North Yorkshire coastline as being ‘magic’ and retaining the heart of the Great British seaside.
He explains, “This magic is an alchemy of ozone and vinegar, shrieking gulls and giggling kids, salt on your face, sand in your ears, the thump and the hiss of the surf, and a childlike sense of endless possibilities.”
You can even enjoy a lovely walk down to the beautiful seaside town of Filey along the beach from Primrose Valley. And the greater news is it’s also right next door to our lovely Reighton Sands.
The same newspaper also gave out regional awards for Best Beach with Porthcurno, a 40 minute drive from Riviere Sands, was handed the title for Cornwall.
Durley Chine, in Bournemouth, near Rockley Park, was the winner for the South of England.
Cromer, less than an hour from Caister-on-Sea picked up the gong for the Best Beach in the East of England.
