Five ways to celebrate Mother’s Day at Haven

There’s just over a month to go until Mother’s Day 2020 and for those celebrating with us on park, we have plenty going on to keep mum entertained. Whether it’s a relaxing walk by the beach, an energetic exercise class, or quality time with the family, happiness comes in all shapes and sizes, and rest assured, we’ve got it covered.

If you’re in need of some inspiration, here are our top five ways to keep every mum happy this Mother’s Day:

    1. Explore the Great British Coast

If it’s a bit of R&R that your mum’s in need of this March, then a trip to the beach should be high on the to-do list. From the sound of the sea, to the sand between your toes, nothing says relaxation like a long stroll along the coast, and with stunning views on the doorstep of every park, we’re spoilt for choice!

Take in the beautiful surroundings and let mum forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life with a scenic walk in the peace and quiet of the British seaside. Particular favourites include Durdle Door in Dorset, Robin Hood’s Bay in Yorkshire and the South Downs Way in Sussex.

    1. Hand-make a memory

Everyone loves a precious memory of their nearest and dearest, but it’s even better if it’s given as a surprise. For the ultimate sentimental gift, why not let your little ones showcase their creative side with one of our hands-on painting activities.

For the less intricate of painters, Precious Prints lets kids decorate their footprints or handprints in their own unique fashion – from beautiful butterflies to menacing monsters – before it’s turned into a ceramic keepsake fit for the home. More budding artists may enjoy picking their own potted animal, jug or vase at Pic ‘n’ Paint Pottery and adding their own personal twist ahead of its trip to the kiln.

    1. Exercise those endorphins

Whilst exercise may not always be considered relaxing for some, for others, holidays are the only chance they can spare the free time. For the activity-loving mums, why not give them an hour break to try out one of our Les Mills classes. From BodyCombat to ShBam, Body Balance or CXWorxs, our virtual instructors will leave them feeling fresh and ready to take on what the rest of the day has in store.

    1. Family fun activities

From bikes and karts to pedalos and segways, there are plenty of fun ways to explore our parks and what’s better than doing it with the ones you love? Give mum a break from walking and treat her to some quality family time whilst checking out what your park has to offer.

For added family fun, try our Adventure Golf or tennis activities suitable for all ages and sure to bring a lot of laughs.

    1. Experience a ‘night on the town’, Haven style

A night by the coast doesn’t have to mean a quiet night in and our parks are jam-packed with evening activities that’ll keep mum well and truly entertained. Why not treat her to a celebratory Mother’s Day meal at our main park restaurant where she will receive a free glass of fizz*, followed by an evening show. With hand-picked professional dancers, singers and hosts, prepare to be dazzled with a range of exclusive music productions not to be missed.
