Focus Week: Allhallows, Kent

This week the place to be is our Allhallows Holiday Park in Kent, it’s not to far to travel from London but far enough away to get the fresh air feel! Plus the weather finally is making its way towards summer and the idyllic ‘Garden of England’  (wishful thinking I know!), a sunny break is just what the doctors ordered!
We asked Johnny to track down a few fun activities you could do whilst staying with us at Allhallows…
Chatham’s Historic Dockyard:
The Historic Dockyard at Chatham is one of Britain’s leading maritime destinations and contains the world’s most complete dockyard! Tickets are valid for the 12months which means there is a slightly increased initial price but it is 100% worth it when there is so much on offer! The attractions can all be found within an amazing eighty acre estate! There is a Victorian Naval Sloop, Second World War Destroyer, Cold War Submarine, quarter mile long Ropery and a new digital theatre experience that puts visitors right at the ‘heart’ of Chatham’s shipbuilding past. This is a perfect family excursion destination and you have a full 12months to come back and enjoy it even more!

Dickens World
Why not take a trip back in time (or just across the road) at Dickens World, which is conveniently located directly opposite the Historic Dockyards! Whilst here you should book yourself onto the fantastic Grand Tour! This family friendly tour experience lasts roughly 90mins and will take you back to the Victorian England that Charles Dickens knew and wrote about in his novels and short stories. Walk across the bridges and travel in the footsteps of the Victorians with your unique tour guide. This is definitely a must-see whilst in Kent!

Canterbury Cathedral
The wonderful historic city of Canterbury is calling out to be visited! There are all manner of different shops and historic sites to be discovered and enjoyed! The Cathedral is a hub of activity and is placed right in the centre of all the attractions. If the weather is as glorious as it has been recently then you should definitely take the opportunity to go punting along the River Stour which runs through the city centre and out into the beautiful countryside!
