Golden Sand is the place to be this week. Its finally summer, the sun is shining (sometimes) and the smell of sun tan lotion is filing the air. Looking for something different to do? The clear choice is a stay with us at Mablethorpe, and here is a step by step guide to get you through the week.
The beach is the first place to go. Take a castle shaped bucket and spade and dive right in. With the beaches being awarded once again with that sought after blue flag, there is no denying that this is a coastline not to miss out on! Although summer is for beach time family fun, it also holds host to Mablethorpe sand racing in the winter season. Definitely one to check out for the grease monkeys.
Don’t linger to long though; Dunes Fairground is next on the agenda. With lots for the kids to do and see, there is no question that you will ever be short of things to do here. Of course, there is space enough for the parent to get on the odd fairground ride too. Don’t be ashamed, we know you love it. It’s a good idea to see if there are any special events set for the date you are there, so be sure to look at the website.
Strubby Gliding Club
For those a little more daring, the Strubby Gliding Club is a must. From only £40 a flight, which includes 3 months membership, this holiday destination choice is definitely flying high. For more information have a look at their website here!
Rimac Nature Reserve
If you want to stretch your legs while gazing upon an impressive scenery, I suggest a trip to the Rimac Nature Reserve. With an easy accessible trail, and leaflets readily available, walking through this natural habitat is a good way to cap off your day.
Get yer’ skates on!
If the kids are still running wild though, a trip to the new Mablethorpe skateboard is bound to wear them out. For those just wanting to try it out, or others showing off their skills, it is fun for all the family. I’m sure dad will show them how it’s done too.
Mable Thorpe Illuminations
If you need to get your Illumination fix early why not head down to The Central Beach in Mablethorpe on the 26th July, prepare for bright lights and lots of sparkle. keep updated here.
