Dwyfor Ranch Rabbit Farm and Animal Park

For the last 30 years this charming farm has provided visitors with the chance to meet a whole range of animals. You and your children can handle a selection of different types of animals including rabbits, guinea pigs and puppies, as well as hand-feeding many of the larger animals such as pigmy goats, alpacas, rhea, donkeys, ponies, pigs and lambs. For only £16 for a family of 4, you can have this wonderful experience and whole selection of cute animal photos to take home!

Welsh Highland Heritage Railway

With an array of stunning views and fascinating history this heritage railway can’t help but make you marvel at the beautiful Welsh landscape and the machines that carry you around it. Why not hop on a train, for around an hour, and find out how these intriguing machines really work. Your journey includes a quick stop at the Engine Sheds where you can really get hands on. Harlech Castle

What is a trip to Wales without exploring the glorious Harlech Castle! With a 2014 Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence and over 700 years of history, this Welsh wonder will provide intrigue for the whole family. The panoramic views of the sea and mountains are truly breathtaking and will leave you talking about it for months. Open daily for all of September and October, the whole family can visit for £12.75!

Sygun Copper Mine

Situated just under 35minutes from Hafan y Mor are the magical tunnels and chambers of the Sygun Copper Mine. Not only can you journey into the heart of Welsh history but above ground you can pan for gold, go metal detecting for coins, try your hand at pottery painting, let the kids loose in the adventure playground and meander along the beautiful lakeside walks. I fully recommend a visit; it is definitely on my list for when I’m next in Wales!
