This week we want to tell you all about Primrose Valley! Located in the beautiful landscape of Yorkshire this park offers scenic hotspots and the opportunity for all-action fun. So grab your flat cap and cuppa and let’s see what there is to do.
Flamingo Land Theme Park & Zoo
Helen and I, hailing from the promised land of Yorkshire, (well my Dad does…) whole heartedly believe that Flamingo Land is not only one of the best theme parks in Yorkshire but also in the UK! With seven unique themed areas, and their latest addition of Children’s Planet, you will definitely not run out of fun family attractions. If you fancy taking a break from all the rides you can adventure through the UK’s most visited zoo! Get up close and personal with everything from tigers to penguins and giraffes to sea lions. All these experiences are under 45 minutes from your front door!
Military Adventure Park
As a self confused history nut as soon as I saw that you can drive a tank I had to put this one in! Only 25 minutes from Primrose Valley you will find this all-action adventure centre with a whole range of exciting activities. Not only can you drive a tank but you can have lazer battles, take on the assault course, face up to the rock climbing wall and challenge Spider Mountain! There is no entry fee as all the activities are paid for via tokens, which you can re-use the next time you visit.
Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park
With a family ticket for only £18.50 (2 Adults and 3 Children) and only 8 minutes from your front door, this is must visit when staying at Primrose Valley. With lovely spacious paddocks you can come and meet a range of animals from giant rabbits to friendly donkeys. Alongside this you can explore the world of exotic birds and get chatting with the parrots. After all the excitement of the animals take a trip to the secret garden, well, if you can find it that is!
Pesky Husky Trekking
Now this has to be an experience like no other, you get the opportunity to drive your own team of dogs on a two wheeled scooter around a trekking course in Yorkshire! However, if you fancy a more relaxing day out then the whole family can take a few husky dogs on a walk around the beautiful North York Moors. Around 40 minutes from Primrose Valley feel free to come anytime as they are open 7 days a week all year round. This is sure to create lovely family memories for all!
Maybe on the way back from husky trekking, I can fully recommend a visit to Scarborough castle. The history of this castle dates back 3,000 years and gives you glorious views over the Yorkshire coast. Take a trip back in time with the whole family from its origins as an Iron Age Fort to its survival of the bombings during the First World War. This is sure to set young minds racing and provide a great experience for the whole family, especially as it is just 25 minutes away!
