This week it’s all about Seashore! We really enjoy hearing your absolutely great holiday stories and I thought it only fair to tell you a few of my favourite places you can find on your doorstep. Now let’s see who can say she sells sea shells on the seashore the fastest…
Great Yarmouth Sea Life Centre
Under 10 minutes from your front door you will find the aquatic delight that is the Great Yarmouth Sea Life Centre. This centre boasts over 1,000 sea creatures including sharks, turtles and penguins! The whole family can get hands on with crabs and starfish in the interactive pool and meet their two need penguin chicks that only hatched this April. Best of all you can keep your little ones powering through all day with ‘kids eat free deals’!
Merrivale Model Village
Over the last 50 years Merrivale has gone from strength to strength and now boasts award-winning landscaped gardens, waterfalls and a wonderful model village. You can take a trip back in time to the Old Penny Arcade where there is a fantastic range of vintage slot machines. Why not top off your day with a round of crazy golf, definitely a way to keep the whole family entertained. For just over £20 two adults and children can experience this wonderful blast from the past!
The Pleasure Beach
A trip to Seashore would not be complete without experiencing the Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach. Here you will find a mixture of attention grabbing rides and traditional attractions. The most impressive of all these attractions is the Sky-Drop, a ride shipped in from Italy and stands 22 metres above the seafront. Spread over 9 acres this attraction even has a 4D cinema and is only 10mins from our Park. This is definitely a great experience that the whole family can share!
Time and Tide Museum
This intriguing museum takes you on a fascinating journey through the history of Great Yarmouth, from the Ice Age to the present day. Experience archive films shows and hands of displays that are bound to captivate even the youngest minds. Why not relax under the canopy sails in the courtyard when you have taken it all in. It’s no wonder that this little gem has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor this year!
Norwich
A trip to East Anglia can always include a day trip to the fascinating city of Norwich. You can wander through the 900 year old market and explore the historic lanes which weave their way around the city centre. Surrounding the city there are all manner of different attractions such as Dinosaur Adventure, Amazona Zoo and Holkam Hall! All in all it is a city designed for shopping, exploring and dining, so why not give it a go!
