There is a whole range of fantastic attractions to keep all the family entertained right on your doorstep when you become a holiday home owner. One of my particular favourites is Hoppers Animal World near Tunbridge Wells in Kent. If you are an owner at Allhallows Holiday Park then this is definitely worth a visit!
Located within the beautiful Hop Farm this delightful world of animals offers everything from meerkats to llamas and hawks to emus! They are open from 10am to 5pm daily (except Christmas & Boxing Day) with free on-site parking. Throughout the day you can experience a whole range of different shows including bird of prey displays, ‘meet the meerkats’, the chance to handle the reptiles and much more.
There is also a great selection of unique experiences that allow you to get up close and personal with the animals. These range from shire horse experiences all the way up to making your way into the meerkat enclosure. You can even become a keeper for the day, which gives you the opportunity to learn a whole range of new skills by working behind the scenes. You will come away having discovered even more about the animals and find out how the team look after the whole range of different birds, animals and reptiles. But don’t worry it’s not all cleaning out stables you will even get the chance to feed the meerkats and fly a hawk!
Hopper’s Animal World plays a key role in educating their visitors on the importance of conservation. The dedicated team will help answer any and all questions about the animals and will let you know how you can help with their conservation programme!
During our visit we also encountered the Hopper’s School of Knighting which provides anyone looking to become a knight with two hours of knightly training! This includes archery, handling birds of prey and sword fighting. After your training is complete you will earn yourself an official certificate of knighthood and a wooden sword and shield to take home. Click here to find out more!
