If you read my earlier blog with Andi Peters you’ll know that we’ve been filming with Good Morning Britain this month and their competition to give away a holiday home and cash prize of £30,000 and I’ve been mixing with some of the stars of the show! This time we were at Primrose Valley with former star of Steps, Claire Richards, all I can say about Claire is she’s just lovely! A proud mum of two and very down to earth and a great sense of humour! She laughed when Rory stole the show as a family wanted their photo taken with him not realising the lovely Claire was standing right behind!
We were spoilt for choice with where to film at Primrose as the park has so many facilities. Claire was a great sport all day and even jumped into a pedalo on the boating lake with Rory… who, very cheekily let her do all the pedalling!
On our first day we had a couple of hours to recee the park with the crew and this included a request to move the ABI Hartfield onto a pitch! Although it was on the show ground overlooking the sea the park was so busy the producer said we needed a quieter spot so the park very kindly moved the holiday home for us.
Day 2 was an 8am start with some GV’s (general views if you haven’t read my other blog!) on the golf course with Paul and Craig. We then went over to the rope works adventure course and then on to the pool to meet Claire. It was so hot and being the first week of the school holidays the outdoor pool was rather busy by this time. So forgive us if this but was a tad noisy as it was a challenge to quieten the pool whilst the filming was being done… it’s just families having fun on holiday!
We also filmed outside the superb Owners lounge which overlooks a lake and a golf course, the producer was hard pushed to know what to film first! Here we met the lovely Ellie… one of our owners dogs…not sure she’s made it on the tele though!
Claire was really impressed with the facilities on park saying her kids would love it and she’d love to bring them to Haven… it’s an open invitation Claire 🙂
No matter how much you plan there’s always lots of last minute activity to do when there’s a film crew on park. But one thing we can always rely on are our wonderful owners and holidaymakers to step in to be on camera and our team on the ground to help us bring it all together… if that’s one of you then thank you as you make our job so much easier.
The competition closes for online entry on 29 August… to find out how to enter tune in to Good Morning Britain and Lorraine all this week…
