Woooh Mumma! Our Happening parks are the bigguns, filled to the brim and action packed. If super-sized facilities and a seriously good time is something you’re on the lookout for, these parks are perfect for you!
Primrose Valley, Yorkshire
We’ll start with our beautiful Yorkshire park, Primrose Valley, and work our way around the country clockwise..
With a huge focus on multi-sports and activities, including bumper boats, two indoor pools, rope courses and fishing; you’ll find it hard to escape the park, but wiggle free and follow the clifftop views of the sandy bay and explore the golden beaches below. Perfect for a game of football or Frisbee.
Make sure you’ve had your weetabix if you’re planning on going toe to toe with Primrose Valley as one guest explains…
“We had four very lively boys and we all it love it as there are so many ways for them to burn off energy”
With the traditional seaside resort of Filey only a 5 minute drive away – prepare to get up nice and early and gather the troops for days full of adventure.
Thorpe Park, Lincolnshire
With the space bowl and lazy river, you’d be lucky to merger from the lively pools at Thorpe Park. But let’s pretend you’ll manage it so I can chat more about what we’ve got there.
You’ll never get bored at our Cleethorpes park, with the Pleasure Island Family theme park right next door and loads of sports to immerse yourself in, you’d better think about recharging those batteries in our bar & restaurant, the fish and chips are amazing!
Lincolnshire offers a great chance for a change of scenery too, if relaxing is your thing or if you’re looking to balance it out a little, you can take a trip along the Cleethorpes light railway and end up strolling around the Elsham Hall Gardens and country park.
Combe Haven, Sussex
“There was so much to do in and around Combe Haven. The park was beautiful and the kids loved the Space Bowl flume”
Something for you and something for the Kids, or if you’re a big kid (I’m looking at you Dads) you’ve got the best of both worlds here at Combe Haven.
New for 2015, we’re refurbishing the sportsdrome and adding a new viewing gallery so you can grab some great shots of the kids having a good time.
Spread out across a hillside, the higher ground gives you a great view of the English channel and the Sussex skies. With Hastings around 20 mins way, full of aquarium tours, Victorian resorts and the famous ‘Smugglers adventure’ you’ll be spoilt for choice.
Devon Cliffs, Devon
Sandy Bay at Devon Cliffs really needs no introduction, it’s the King of all beaches, the big Kahuna, and it sits right at the bottom of the park! Aren’t we lucky? With beautiful views, that you can observe straight from the caravan and new luxury Beach Houses coming in 2015, we’re aiming to bring you closer and closer to one of the most beautiful beaches in the country.
Awarded a Blue Flag (meaning it’s reached an exceptionally good standard, no litter, toilets, lifeguards etc etc) We offer Watersports with lessons, learn to surf or spend the day strolling and using the vast sandy beach for activities and fresh air.
With huge Outdoor and indoor pools with slides, if the Sea isn’t your thing, we’ve got plenty of water with a little less foliage.
And I haven’t even started on the park! It’s our flagship and we’re very proud of it. With Rope Courses , Sports galore and locally sourced food in the unique South Beach Cafe – even without the glorious Sandy Bay next door, Devon Cliffs still stands alone in terms of amazing things to do.
Hafan Y Mor, North Wales
Nestled into the Welsh Coast and a stones throw from Snowdonia National Park, Hafan Y Mor is the busiest of our Welsh Parks, boasting among others, a boating lake, indoor sportsdrome, huuuge indoor pool and an aerial adventure.
With Hafan Y Mor the views are so breathtaking, you have the option to do absolutely everything or nothing at all. Explore Snowdonia with the Snowdon Mountain Railway or learn to sail and surf in Abersoch off the park and then head back for some evening entertainment from our talented troop of Funstars.
Presthaven Sands, North Wales
With Golden Sands that dart off towards the horizon and beautiful greenery that borders the park, Presthaven Sands combines the best bits of British Wildlife in one local area, so you don’t have to travel far to hop between the two!
Spend your days in the lazy river on the park, or take a stroll over the dunes (or onto the new pathway in 2015) and bump into the seaside, to utilise the sand on the sunny summer days.
And if it rains (let’s be honest it is Britain) Presthaven’s got a wonderful indoor SportsDrome to spend the days, bowling, batting, climbing and rolling until it’s time to hit the restaurant.
“We crammed in so much: go karts, arcades and we always felt the kids were safe”
Away from the park, there’s my personal fave, the Greenfield valley Museum and Heritage Park, where you’re actually encouraged to build a den! Heaven on earth.
Craig Tara, Scotland
Craig Tara is GIGANTIC. There’s really no other way to explain it to you, the pool was huge before, but we’re opening a brand new complex in April 2015 and it’s quite frankly the most exciting thing I’ve ever seen – giant flumes, multi-lane slides, water jets, lazy rivers, waterfalls and toddler zones, so the tiny ones can splash about in peace.
On top of that we’ve got a new adventure trail, airspace centre (indoor climbing frames and ball pits) and 9-hole golf course and pic n paint pottery. Told you it was big!
With stunning views of the Firth of Clyde, swan boats on the lake and hearty days out at Pirate Pete’s Family entertainment Centre, Craig Tara’s location lends itself a great deal to the appeal too, there’s as much to soak in off the park as there is on it. So prepare yourself!
