Haven parks just around the corner from Trip Advisor’s best UK beaches

Trip Advisor have announced the winners of their Traveller’s Choice Awards 2019 and plenty of beaches just around the corner from Haven parks have been included in the list!

Beautiful Bournemouth Beach, just around the corner from Rockley Park, came highest for the UK, as it did in 2018, with its seven mile stretch of golden sands, along with its long promenade and its piers.

The seafront has two piers- Bournemouth and Boscombe- and often hosts events such as marathons, an annual air festival and Pride’s Bourne Free festival. The panoramic bay is a haven for wake boarders and kite surfing, or for families to walk their dogs along the shore.

In last year’s awards, one of Britain’s other southern beaches, Weymouth, near Weymouth Bay, Seaview and Littlesea ranked 1st as the Best Beach in the UK by TripAdvisor.

In fact five of the top 10 UK beaches are within half-an-hour’s drive of Haven parks so you’ve got a great chance of being able to visit one of these acclaimed spots!

    Barafundle Bay

Fifth place in the list was the incredible Barafundle Bay, which is just 25 minutes from Kiln Park.

This small beach is surrounded by natural beauty in the form of dunes and pine trees, as well as its crystal clear sea.

    Filey Beach

Just one spot behind is Yorkshire’s finest, Filey Beach, which is just a stone’s throw from both Reighton Sands and Primrose Valley.

The five mile stretch of beach is dotted with plenty of rock pools for you to go exploring and the sand is perfect for a spot of sandcastle building.

    Gorleston Beach

Gorleston Beach, right next to our beautiful parks Hopton and Wild Duck, is eighth on the list and if you’re looking for something a bit calmer than Great Yarmouth then it’s definitely the place for you.

The Victorian seaside town of Gorleston-on-Sea is great for a traditional British trip to the seaside, and is also popular with surfers, body-boarders and kite-flyers!

    Perranporth Beach

Haven’s final entry in the top 10 is ninth place Perranporth Beach which you can enjoy at Perran Sands in Cornwall.

With miles and miles of golden sands, and its own beach cafe, there really is so much to do at Perranporth!
