Devon Cliffs have just held their biggest event of the year and it rocked! DC in the park is an event that the park puts on specifically for their owners to bring everyone together and celebrate the summer!
Devon Cliffs held a 3 day spectacular full of live music, performances, fireworks and delicious food and drink! Here’s how the event went:
Friday Night: 7-11pm
The opening of the event got off to an electric start with rocking performances from Lucy Harper and Kaiser Monkey Killers! They were the perfect acts to start off our 3 day extravaganza and got the crowd pumped up for the next two days of music!
Saturday kicked off with everyone’s favourite our very own Seaside Squad and the adorable owners Musikids! This was then followed by the brilliant Chicken Slack & Souled and the fantastic male vocalist AJ. They really got the day off to a great start and warmed the stage up for Devon Cliffs very own Rhea & Christy who most certainly did us proud! We then had Mini Mix who brought us all the hits from the famous Littlemix which went down a treat!
The Boyz then took to the stage and had everyone on their feet and dancing – they absolutely blew the roof off! Madness Band then took to the stage and wow they really had the crowd rocking and rolling! We then had a blast from the past with our headline act Jimmy James & The Vagabonds who were as fantastic as they always were!
And there’s nothing like going out with a bang so we lit the sky with an astounding display of fireworks!
The last day of DC in the Park brings the festival to a close with a Best of British theme! Devon Cliffs very own FunStars start the day off with everyone’s favourite Carnaby W1 show! Next up on the stage making us all proud to be British was The Blue Birds! Everyone was having such a fantastic time that the day’s finish time was extended by two hours!
We were lucky enough to have The Boyz come back to perform another set for us which really was a crowd pleaser! We then had our FunStars come back to the stage and to finish it all off our talented Christy performed an acoustic set which was a beautiful end to the three days.
All owners were in such high spirits after a brilliant three days of live music and performances and were over the moon with the extended time!
Fun for the Kids:
There was plenty to do for the kids too! With a bouncy castle, face paints, a giant inflatable slides and a funfair which of course was very popular – there was so much to choose from the kids were always kept busy!
Food and Drink:
No festival would be complete without some tasty food on offer!
The South Beach Burger stand went down a right treat with the owners! The Chinese and Indian stand was just as popular with many appetising dishes to choose from and certainly kept our General Manager and Owner Services Manager very busy! We even had a swanky camper van converted into a mobile cafe which served tasty treats such doughnuts, hot chocolates and lots more!
Our Spar Shop boys also saved the day with their marquee which served all sorts of confectionery, bakery bites, savoury snacks, ice creams, toys, sun cream and umbrellas which were all need in the weather having both glorious sunshine and rain! But what is a British festival without rain anyway?
The cheese on toast station and complimentary bacon rolls for account owners was on hand to help on Sunday to overcome any headaches from the night before!
