The weather is getting warmer and the days longer so don’t waste them feeling under the weather, get back to top health with this healthy and delicious herbal remedy. Dai is a firm believer in natural ways to heal,
‘When you think that the majority of medicines are derived from
plants it is not surprising that herbal medicine still plays a large part in healing all that ails us.
If I have a chesty cough, sore throat, aches, pains or I just need a
boost to get me moving I swear by the recipe below.’
What you’ll need
For a strong remedy it can be diluted to taste)
Fresh root ginger
Honey/glycerin or sugar to taste
Lemon zest can be added for extra tang or fresh sage to help ease stubborn phlegm
How to make Dai’s magic tea!
Finely grate one to two cubic inches (2.5 cm) of fresh root ginger into a saucepan
Add one spoon of honey or sugar
Add one teaspoon of peppermint essence
Add half a pint of hot water
Keep adding until it is the perfect strength for you
