The Lake District joins the Grand Canyon as a World Heritage Site

The Lake District has joined the Grand Canyon, the Great Wall of China, and the Taj Mahal on an illustrious list after being named a World Heritage Site by Unesco.

And at Haven we’re lucky enough to have our stunning Lakeland Leisure Park situated right next door to the incredible scenery the area has to offer.

It really puts Cumbria on the map as the Lake District is the only national park in the United Kingdom to be given this prestigious status.

The UK does have other entries on the list though with the Tower of London, Blenheim Palace and the City of Bath just a few of the well known places included.
