Haven are more than proud to welcoming Mumsnet into the Haven family. Mumsnet is UK’s biggest network for parents to swap advice, speak to other parents and discuss all the things parents want to. Haven is the UK’s favourite Seaside Holiday so it truly is a match made in Heaven. Recently here at Haven we launched our ‘We all Love’ campaign, showing all the things Haven have to offer, this is something Mumsnet were more than happy to be a part of. They explain why below:
‘Often, what should be one of the most enjoyable decisions we make together as families – where to head off on the annual holiday – can end up being one of the trickiest. Finding a destination that caters to every generation can feel like a nigh-on impossible task, and given that, for most of us, we only have one chance a year to get it right, the stakes are high. (Sometimes, mind you, there can be a silver lining to getting it wrong: Mumsnet came into being after our founder, Justine Roberts, went on a disastrous family holiday to Florida and decided on her return to set up a website where parents could talk about where best to go before parting with their cash.)
Which is why we’re all in favour of Haven’s “We all Love” initiative. The idea is that their resorts offer something for every family member, whatever their inclination or vintage. There are kids’ clubs for all ages, from toddlers to teens (crafts sessions and character days for the pre-schoolers; circus skills, archery, fencing and fishing for the 13+), physical activities for those looking to blow away the cobwebs, spas and treatments for those looking to soak them away. Plus beaches, pools and nature walks for everyone to enjoy together. Striking a balance between time together and time alone can be the hallmark of success for family holidays; parents, in particular, can feel a lot of guilt about not spending every available moment in the company of their precious offspring on their annual holiday, but the fact of the matter is that all of us – even the grown-ups – need a bit of time alone to decompress, in order to enjoy the time we spend together more fully.’
