Dotty Morrison is a Haven owner at the owner’s only park, Far Grange, in East Yorkshire. We caught up with her to find out the perks of being an owner.
How long have you been an owner with Haven?
We have been Haven owners for 12 years – we spent 11 years at Thorpe Park, Lincolnshire, and then we moved to Far Grange last summer. We wanted to move to Far Grange as my hubby loves the golf course (I like the clubhouse – the breakfast is great and, that way, I don’t have to cook!)
When do you visit your holiday home?
We visit most weekends and in the school holidays we take the grandchildren. They love it; there are plenty of things to do to keep them entertained.
What’s the best thing about being an owner?
The site is very well looked after and we have a lovely, generous private plot. After a hard working week, we love the tranquillity and can chill out.
What do you like to do when you are at Far Grange?
At the weekends, my hubby plays golf while I go swimming and have a sauna (thinking about trying Zumba this season). I usually have a walk to Skirlington Market or go to Horsea Freeport too. In the evenings we go for a few beers. We love the adult only lounge where we can meet like-minded people – everyone is really friendly and takes the time to chat.
For potential owners, why should they choose Far Grange?
The whole atmosphere of the park is warm and friendly. It is quite an intimate park where you soon get to know your fellow owners. We have made some lovely friends and thoroughly enjoyed spending Christmas and New Year there. All of the staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble for them. They’re very keen to help and are a credit to Bourne Leisure.
