With the Rugby World Cup just around the corner, we want to help you look the part. We’ve dug our face paints out and pulled together some steps on how to show a cheeky bit of support for the home nations.
Our office has some rather talented face painters but if you’d rather use a template, we’ve created some handy downloadable stencils so you’ll have the fanciest flag around.
England Flag
On paper this sounds very simple and we’re not going to lie – it is. However, lets make things even easier.
You’ll need:
- A template to follow freehand or stencil to use: England Flag
- Red Face Paint
- White Face Paint
- Brush/Sponge/Crayon Paint – whichever you prefer!
Step one
Paint the outline of small rectangle on the side of your cheek with white paint.
Step two
Get colouring! You’ll need to fill in your rectangle completely white with face print.
Give your white paint a couple of minutes to dry (we don’t want a pink flag)…
Step three
Now get out the red paint and draw the cross one horizontal and one vertical line in.
Now you’ve got a very happy England supporter…
Scotland Flag
Nothing to challenging so far, the Scottish flag is another simple style flag. We’ll walk you through how we’ve done ours.
You’ll need:
- A template to follow freehand or stencil to use: Scotland Flag
- Blue Face Paint
- White Face Paint
- Brush/Sponge/Crayon Paint – whichever you prefer!
Step one
Paint the outline of small rectangle on the side of your cheek with blue paint.
Step two
Fill your recetangle in! You’ll need to colour in your rectangle completely blue with face print.
Give your blue paint a couple of minutes to dry (we don’t want a pale blue situation on our hands!)…
Step three
Now get out the white paint and draw two diagonal lines across the rectangle from corner to corner.
Doesn’t our Liam look pleased with our handy work?
Wales Flag
Now things start to get more tricky… If you don’t think you’re up to slaying it on the dragon front, why try our template to make your life easier:
You’ll need:
- A template to follow freehand or stencil to use: Welsh Flag
- Green Face Paint
- Red Face Paint
- White Face Paint
- Brush/Sponge/Crayon Paint – whichever you prefer!
Step one
Paint the outline of rectangle about half the side of the others on the side of your cheek with green paint.
Step two
Get colouring! You’ll need to fill in small rectangle completely green with face print.
Step three
Above your green rectangle, paint the outline of another small white rectangle same size as the green you’ve just finished.
Step four
Fill that white rectangle in! You’ll need to colour in your second rectangle completely white with face print.
Give your white and green paint a minute to dry…
Step five
Now you can start to paint your dragon across the middle of the rectangle flag.
We used the dragon on our template as a guide to follow. Use the red paint and draw an outline to colour in along the way.
Now our dragon is on… fire!
