We all love a spooky Halloween activity, so I thought why not bring you a selection of different family friendly events taking place across the UK this half term!
The Ghost Walk of Tenby, Tenby
On this spine tingling tour you will go to various different haunted locations in Tenby. You will hear tales of demons, ghosts, pirates, witches and superstitions that sailors have at sea. Not only that but you can get a real feel for the local history of the area. ( picture in header )
Bodelwyddan Castle, near Rhyl
This 15th century castle is only 25minutes from Presthaven Sands. It is renowned for having multiple ghost sightings ever since Sir John Hay William wrote in 1829 that he found human bones near a chimney in the castle! Bodelwyddan has even appeared on Living TV’s ‘Most Haunted.’ Take the family on a ghost hunt or maybe just a public ghost walk to really get into the Halloween spirit.
These woods on the south coast of Wales date back over 2000 years. Local men would wreck ships by luring on to the rocks with lanterns– these men have been spotted wandering the wood land ever since! Do you think you could enter the woods?
Lauriston Castle, Edinburgh
On Saturday 25th or Sunday 26th October try to get yourself to the one and only Lauriston Castle in Edinburgh, only 40mins from Seton Sands! The whole family can get involved in crafts and fun ghostly activities in the woodland and around the castle. One thing to remember is that you have to come in costume!
Alloween… The Return, Ayr
Join one of the Ghostly guides to tour you around the streets of Alloway on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st October! Here the whole family can learn about suspicious deaths and haunting in the area, just a stones through from Craig Tara.
Halloween Story Trains, Yorkshire
On Friday 31st October two Halloween themed trains will depart from Pickering Station with an array of live characters, magicians and on-board entertainment. You can even handle bugs, critters and creepy crawlies if you are brave enough. This is perfect for whole family especially if you are near the Yorkshire Moors!
Paxton House, Berwick-upon-Tweed
Only 10minutes from Berwick Holiday Park you will find a spooktacular event at Paxton House! Have a stroll through the house after hours and hear haunting ghost stories, all this costs £12 for a family of four.
This is Norfolk’s biggest Halloween experience, with a wide range of different activities taking place from the 24th October – 1st November, this is for the those who are really ready to jump into the spirit of Halloween! Can you handle the Circus of Terrors? Or maybe you want to check into the Nightmare Clinic? For anyone feeling super adventurous you can take on a pitch black zip line! This is definitely not for the faint hearted; let us know if you decide to venture into this immersive experience.
Halloween Disco, Kent
Show off your dance moves at Quex Park in Kent with their very own Halloween Disco! Not only that but there will be a selection of fangtastic fun and games to keep the kids entertained for hours at this Halloween Disco.
Nothe Fort, Dorset
This looks like a superb family fun that combines all the best parts of Halloween down at Nothe Fort in Dorset. Get involved with the fancy dress competition or maybe apple dunking is up your street either way we all know you will get involved with the Treasure Hunt. Taking place on Wednesday 29th October get the whole family down to experience the fun!
Pendennis Castle, Cornwall
