Where Are We Wednesday – Devon Cliffs

The beautiful Devon Cliffs was the answer to this week’s Where Are We Wednesday and it’s based in a spectacular setting which slopes down towards the golden sandy beach below.

The Park

This remarkable park on the south coast will give you the best of both worlds – whether it’s a fun, active holiday you’re after or a chilled, laid-back getaway from the busy city Devon Cliffs has it all on offer. For the all action types you can take on the Aerial Adventure course or the shoreline Segway challenge, while those coming to escape to the seaside can simply relax and enjoy the view (and a bite) from the South Beach Cafe terrace.

If you’re heading to Devon for a swim you’ll be delighted with the large indoor pool, two heated outdoor pools, multi-lane waterslides and flume to keep you entertained throughout your stay on the park.

Out and About

Just around the corner from the park is Dartmoor National Park, one of the most important Bronze Age landscapes in Western Europe, and you can see the iconic granite tors which were once giant mountains, but have now been eroded and frost shattered over millions of years. And with the option to explore the English Riviera and Bicton Park Bontanical Gardens there’s so much stunning scenery to enjoy in Devon.

Did you know?

Agatha Christie, Sir Francis Drake and Sir Walter Raleigh are all famous Devonians.
