The answer to this week’s Where Are We Wednesday is our very own Welsh wonder Lydstep Beach!
Lydstep Beach is small and intimate making it the perfect place to stay if you fancy a chilled, relaxed holiday by the stunning coastline in South Wales. You can just sit back, have a glass of wine and watch the water-sports and sailing. Set in a beautiful bay location, Lydstep Beach has some incredible views for you to enjoy and take in as you get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Out and About
While staying on the park you could visit the historical Pembroke Castle where you can enjoy some tremendous views from the top and take in some of the stunning architecture on the inside. It is also the only castle in Britain to be built over a natural cavern, a large cave known as the Wogan. As well as the castle, you could make a trip to Pembrokeshire Coast National Park which is perfect for romantic escapes with its weather-worn cliffs, dazzling beaches and secret coves, jewelled with rock pools.
Did you know?
- Haven actually owns the Blue Flag beach at Lydstep Beach, which is one of two with the other being Sandy Bay in Devon.
- Every Boxing Day, hundreds of people run into the sea in Tenby to raise money for charity.
